Frequently asked questions
The questions we are actually asked, answered plainly. If yours is not here, ask us on WhatsApp — it is usually a one-message answer.
Booking and pricing
How do you work out the price?
Per job, from photos. The factors are volume, weight, how far things have to be carried, whether anything needs dismantling, and what your building requires. We give you a figure before anyone is booked in.
Why do you not publish a price list?
Because the same item can be two very different jobs. A sofa on a ground floor with a driveway outside and the same sofa on the fourteenth floor of a tower with one service lift take different crews and different amounts of time. A fixed list would be inaccurate for one of them.
Do you need to visit before quoting?
Usually not. Photos are enough for most collections. For a full villa or an office floor, a short video walkthrough or a floor plan gives a better estimate than stills.
What if there is more than we agreed?
We tell you on site before we load it and you decide. Nothing is added quietly and presented as a larger bill at the end.
How much notice do you need?
Often less than your building does. The service lift booking or gate pass is usually the longest lead time, so start that as soon as you have a date.
What we can and cannot take
What do you collect?
Furniture, appliances, electronics, mattresses, general household clutter, office furniture and IT, shop fittings, garden waste and construction debris. If it is bulky, non-hazardous and needs to leave a property, it is usually within scope.
What will you not take?
Hazardous chemicals, solvents and paint thinners; clinical and medical waste; gas cylinders and pressurised containers; fuel; and anything suspected to contain asbestos. These need specialist routes and we will tell you so rather than take the booking.
Can you take items that still work?
Yes. Condition does not change whether we will collect something.
Do you take a single item?
Yes. Single sofas, mattresses and appliances are among the most common jobs we do.
What about paint, garden chemicals and pool treatments?
No. Set them aside from the rest of the load and we will tell you what applies to each item.
Access, buildings and permits
Do I need permission from my building?
In most Dubai towers, yes. Building management normally issues a move-out or bulky-item permit and allocates a service lift slot, and both are usually issued to the resident rather than to the contractor.
Do I need to bring items downstairs first?
No. Carrying items out of the property is the service. Tell us the floor and whether there is lift access so we send the right crew.
What if the lift is out of service?
We can usually still work, but a heavy item on a stairwell needs a bigger crew and more time. Tell us when you book rather than on the day, so the job is priced and staffed correctly.
Do you work in villa communities?
Yes. Most require a gate pass for a commercial vehicle and restrict contractor working hours. The pass is normally arranged by the resident or owner, so please start it a few days ahead.
Will you damage the walls or the lift?
We protect tight sections of the route and cover lift cars where the building requires it. If an item genuinely cannot pass without contact, we tell you before we start rather than after.
On the day
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to give access and confirm what is leaving. That can be you, a family member, a colleague or an agent, provided your building will admit them.
How should I prepare?
Empty drawers, wardrobes and appliances, defrost and drain fridges and washing machines, separate anything you are keeping, and clear a route to the door where you can.
Do you dismantle furniture?
Where it is needed to get an item out. Built-in wardrobes and corner sofas frequently cannot leave a room intact. Tell us in advance so the crew brings tools and we allow the time.
Do you clean afterwards?
We sweep the area we worked in and take our own packing debris. A handover-standard deep clean is a separate trade.
Disposal
Where do my items go?
It depends what they are and what condition they are in, so we confirm the destination for your load rather than making a blanket promise. Mixed loads are separated at the point of loading so each part can go somewhere appropriate.
Can you give me proof of disposal?
Tell us at booking if you need it for a landlord, building management or your own records. What we can provide depends on the material and the facility, so we would rather confirm before the collection than after.
Do you erase data from computers?
Data erasure is not part of standard collection. Wipe drives or remove them before we attend, or raise it before booking so it can be discussed separately.
Still not sure?
Send a photo of the item you are unsure about. We will tell you straight away whether we can take it.
