What to do before we arrive

• Separate anything you are keeping, and label it clearly if it is in the same room.
• Empty drawers, wardrobes and appliances. Loose contents slow the load and get damaged in transit.
• Defrost and drain fridges and washing machines the night before where you can.
• Tell us in advance about anything unusually heavy, such as a marble table top, a safe or a piano.

Building and access considerations

Most Dubai buildings have rules about when bulky items can be moved. Towers commonly require a move-out permit from building management, a booked service lift and protective covers in the lift car, and some communities restrict work to specific hours. Tell us the building name when you book and we will tell you what is usually needed there, but the permit itself is normally issued to the resident rather than to the contractor.

What happens to your items depends on what they are and what condition they are in, so we confirm the destination for your load on the day rather than making a blanket promise in advance. If you need written confirmation of disposal for building management, a landlord or your own records, say so when you book so we can tell you what we are able to provide.

What affects the price

We quote per job rather than from a fixed list, because two collections of the same item can be very different pieces of work. These are the factors that move the number:

• The volume being removed, which drives the size and number of vehicles
• How much carrying is involved: floor level, lift availability, distance to the loading point
• Weight, particularly for construction debris, marble, safes and dense hardwood furniture
• Dismantling, if a wardrobe or bed frame will not fit through the door in one piece
• Timing, where a building only permits moves in a narrow window or outside working hours
